Green Holidays in Cornwall

Making your stay more green

With things like solar panels and electric car charging points, we’ve taken steps to try and make your holiday with us as green as possible.

We're commited to creating green holidays in Cornwall. The environment is very important to us and over the years we have made changes to the way we operate in order to reduce our carbon footprint.  From tree planting started in the 1980’s to our most recent project, the biomass boiler, we continue to look for ways to “green our business”!

On a large scale, we have installed a huge solar panel array, which powers the whole site and the recent biomass boiler provides central heating to 7 nearby cottages and the swimming pool complex.  Small steps have included using Ecover cleaning products, microfibre cloths and recycled refuse bags and toilet rolls.  We are also tackling our cottage lighting by swapping over to low energy bulbs and introducing LED bulbs in our new conversions.  For anyone with an electric car, we can offer EV charging in our car park in a designated area and outside some of our cottages. We have our own electric buggy which our team use to move cots and the like around the cottages.

On the farm we are members of the higher entry level stewardship, which means that we take extra special care of the land and the wildlife that inhabit it.
