We don't want you to have to pack absolutely everything. Cots, highchairs, and stair gates can be supplied free of charge.

Q: Can I enjoy a peaceful rural stay while still exploring Cornwall's top sights?

Certainly. The Olde House offers a quiet escape where you can enjoy the peace onsite however, we are very close to Polzeath, Padstow, and Port Isaac.

Q: Could we holiday with grandparents or other families?

Yes, we are a popular choice for multi-generational breaks and our cottages can sleep up to ten, meaning families can stay together or separately.

Our Cottages

We offer 28 charming on-site holiday cottages in Wadebridge, along with 5 additional cottages located just off site, all nestled in the picturesque countryside village of Chapel Amble. Our cottages accommodate between 2 and 10 guests each, making them perfect for couples, families, or larger groups spread across multiple cottages. We also offer a 5-star, fully accessible cottage for guests with mobility needs.

Facilities

Take a dip in our luxurious swimming pool and unwind in the spa, let the kids burn off some energy in the indoor and outdoor play areas, or challenge your family to a friendly competition in the games room. You can also pop over and say hello to the animals at Pets Corner, enjoy a game of padel tennis, do a bit of birdwatching from the hide, or take a relaxing walk along our farm trail. Whatever your pace, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

About us

Welcome to The Olde House, your family-run countryside escape! We’re part of Penpont Farm, which has been in the Hawkey family for three generations. These days, The Olde House is lovingly run by Jaime and Shaun, with Shaun’s brother Dom. Meanwhile, Olly takes the reins over at the farm. It’s a proper family operation. We also have a team of around 15 who keep The Olde House and our Wadebridge holiday cottages running tip top.
