Chestnut Cottage is our 5 star three-bedroom self-catering cottage designed with full accessibility in mind, offering a comfortable and welcoming stay for all guests, including those with additional accessibility needs. The property offers a private patio and seating area, a peaceful spot to relax and unwind.

Chestnut Cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests in three versatile bedrooms, each with an option of twin or super-king beds. For those with specific accessibility requirements, Chestnut Cottage is equipped with a hoist system from the bedroom to the en-suite bathroom. The Cottage also includes two fully profiling beds that can be pushed together to create a super-king, as well as a rising recliner in the lounge for extra comfort.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a family friendly escape, Chestnut Cottage offers the perfect blend of accessibility, comfort and style. We’ve put a lot of care into creating a space where everyone can feel at home, no matter their needs.

Master Bedroom Bello Sonno Bed spec

• Height adjustment range of 25-82 cm (excludes mattress depth of 12 cm). This provides both sides of the bed with their own lying surface and various heights to enter and exit the bed.
• 4 section profiling with anti stomach compression. When you go into a seated position, this bed will not just fold you like other care beds. It has a two-way action to alleviate away at the lower back, this prevents the compression of the stomach and allows the end user to have meals in bed as and when required.
• The bed has a manual castor system that can be easily released using your foot, allowing easier transferring, and allowing the bed to be moved at any height.
• Anti-Trendelenburg (we call this the comfort chair / tilt position). This creates a diagonally tilted position whereby the profiling feature of the bed can also be introduced to increase the angle if required. This position is extremely beneficial if a person has respiratory issues, reflux, tube fed and chest infections to name a few. It is also beneficial if a person wanted to watch television or read in bed, instead of being sat upright and propping yourself up with pillows, the whole bed will tilt forward and alter your viewing angle while still being virtually laid down.
• Beds are split-able for care. It would be impossible for a Carer to stretch over a double bed of this size, so the beds can be parted for care very quickly and easily.
